The latest Pokémon adventure is a real-time, team-based strategy game called Pokemon Unite. The game is being developed by Tencent’s TiMi Studios, largely behind free-to-play online games such as Honors of Kings and Call of Duty: Mobile.
The game looks a lot like MOBAs, especially League of Legends, with five teams battling against each other and leveling off during a match, completing objectives. The multi-lane map is reminiscent of existing team strategy games. It will be a free-to-start game on both the Nintendo Switch and mobile, with crossplay for multiplayer.
Ode’s news stopped during a busy period for the Pokemon Franchise. Last week released the first major expansion for Pokémon Sword and Shield, Wikipedia along with announcements from New Pokémon Snap for Switch, Pokémon Cafe Mix (which is out today), and to help kids brush their teeth An AR game.

Pokémon Unite does not currently have a release date.
